A New York native, Dr. Kahn attended Francis Lewis High School in Queens, NY and then attended Union College in Schenectady, NY. Dr. Kahn majored in history with a minor in biological sciences and graduated cum laude and honors on his history thesis. He then attended the Temple University School of Podiatric Medicine in Philadelphia. He received several awards for excellence in orthopedics and surgery upon graduation.
Following medical school, Dr. Kahn completed a comprehensive internship and residency program at John F. Kennedy Hospital in Philadelphia under the auspices and direction of some of the top podiatric surgeons in the nation. During this time Dr. Kahn received advance training in both the orthopedic and surgical management of foot and ankle disorders as well as exposure to sports medicine and pediatric foot and ankle problems.
Dr. Kahn founded the Foot & Ankle Specialists after spending a year teaching at the Temple School of Podiatric Medicine. He has devoted his career to forwarding the care of all foot and ankle disorders in a caring and state of the art environment. Extensive training in pediatric foot and ankle disorders has helped him care for countless children with problems such as intoeing, flat feet, "growing pains" and evolving adult foot pathology.
Dr. Kahn has authored many articles, is a noted lecturer and has served as the residency director at Frankford Hospital for many years. Dr. Kahn has gained additional training and certification in Endoscopic heel surgery, CO2, and pulse dye laser techniques. He has also served as the Chief of the Podiatry Department at Lower Bucks Hospital in the past and is involved on a continuing basis in raising funds for charitable organizations such as the Juvenile Diabetes Foundation, The American Heart Association and the National Parkinson's Foundation.
Dr. Kahn is a Diplomate of the American Board of Podiatric Surgery and is Board Certified in foot and ankle surgery. He is a Fellow of the American Board of Podiatric Surgery for many years. He has pioneered the use of Extracorporeal Shockwave Therapy for the non surgical and non invasive treatment for Acute Plantar Fasciitis and Achilles Tendonitis. The Heel Pain Centers have provided state of the art relief to countless patients suffering from chronic heel disorders.
Additionally, Dr. Kahn devotes time to civic and charitable work designed to make their community a better place to live. In his leisure time, Dr. Kahn enjoys golf, playing guitar, and spending time with his beautiful wife and children, Alexis & Jason.
